Bio-Ken's International Snakebite Seminar - 2016

The tenth International Snakebite Snakebite Seminar dates are now set. The seminar, hosted by Bio-Ken and JAAT, will take place on the 5th and 6th November 2016 at Turtle Bay Beach Club, Watamu - Kenya.

The two day seminar will focus on the Natural History of reptiles, and more specifically venomous snakes as well as the correct management of snakebite.

2014 Snakebite Seminar Overview

The Ninth Bio-Ken International Snakebite Seminar will take place in Watamu next weekend.

It all kicks off on the evening of Thursday 23rd October 2014 with an informal gathering at Hemingways Resort where delegates, speakers and guests can get together in a relaxed atmosphere and mingle. This will be from 6.30pm onwards with a cash bar.

David Williams of the Global Snakebite Initiative interviews Professor Warrell of Oxford University about a range of snakabite issues.

The first interview, filmed in November 2010 is on the problem of Snakebite in the rural tropics.
David Williams asks David Warrell to explain why snakebite is such a problem in the rural tropics and what the global community needs to do to improve the treatment and to prevent deaths and disabilities caused by snakebite.
